Nick Couchman MCIPR
Managing Director, Nick Couchman has been in the communications business
for over 15 years. A former journalist and photographer, he worked for
the Financial Times and the Irish Times before becoming a consultant
with Lowe Bell Good Relations, working with British Rail, First National
Bank and Red Star.
He took a Masters Degree in English from Trinity College Dublin and
was admitted to full membership of the Institute of Public Relations
in 1992.
Having held a number of senior in-house and agency positions - devising
and leading campaigns in the business to business, technology, and non-profit
sectors - he set up Couchman Communications in 1997.
Linda Davies MBA
Linda Davies is an experienced technical editor, author and communications
specialist with over 15 years involvement with the industry. Her clients
have included Novell, Oracle, IBM and Unisys. She currently writes and
commissions features for over 20 IT and business focused publications,
including The Guardian.
Linda is managing editor of Sun Microsystems' customer-facing journal
and lectures in media relations. She works with Couchman on specialist
editorial and IT projects.
Iain MacCárthaigh
Iain MacCárthaigh is one of Ireland's most experienced copywriters
and promotional strategists. He has written for both major Irish political
parties; for the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Finance, and Industry
& Commerce, and for the European Union.
Corporate and brand campaigns he created include such diverse institutions
as Aer Lingus, Bank of Ireland, Cement-Roadstone Holdings, Dunlop, Eagle
Star, Guinness, ICI, Irish Tourist Board, Siemens Nixdorf Computers,
RTÉ (national TV and radio), Renault, Shell, VG and Williams
& Humbert.
Originally a journalist, Iain was a PR executive with the Irish Tourist
Board before switching to advertising. He was a founder-member of the
Public Relations Institute of Ireland and is a Past President of the
Institute of Creative Advertising and Design. Iain is Couchman's primary
creative consultant.
